Perth Airport Terminal 1 (T1) operates both domestic and international flights. To make sure you land in the right place, please check your flight details to confirm exactly which terminal you will depart from!
Perth Airport runs two international terminals (T1 and T3) and four domestic terminals (T1, T2, T3 and T4), plus a General Aviation precinct. Terminals 1 and 2 are located in the same precinct, while Terminals 3, 4 and General Aviation are in the other.
It takes a 10-minute drive between T1/T2 and T3/T4. For seamless transfers, a shuttle bus service is available every 20 minutes from 6 am – 10 pm, and every 30 minutes from 10 pm – 6 am.
Redspot makes things simple with car rental branches from Perth Airport T1/T2 and T3/T4! Helping you jet from the road to the sky as quickly as possible.
All Jetstar domestic services operate from Terminal 2 (T2 Domestic) in Perth.
Jetstar international services operate from Terminal 1 (T1 International).
‘In terminal’ means that a car rental desk or kiosk is located inside an airport terminal building, making it easy for customers to hop off their flight, pick up their car hire and get their plans rolling. For example, Redspot’s Perth Airport Terminal 1 desk is located within the public arrivals hall, while our Terminal 2 desks are opposite the Baggage Reclaim Area. Both are considered ‘in terminal’.
If the Redspot car rental branch is closed at Perth Airport, never fear! You have a couple of after-hours pick-up options to get you rolling, even if your flight gets delayed. Choose to:
For after-hours drop-off, simply park your rental vehicle at the Perth Airport car park in the designated Redspot bay.
Head to our T1/T2 airport car park booth and leave your keys in the secure drop box, located on the wall to the left of the entrance door. Alternatively, drop your keys in the drop box located in the Redspot kiosk inside Terminal 4, near Baggage Reclaim.

Renting a car in Australia with Redspot requires that you:
If you are an international visitor, you must also present your physical passport and valid full driver’s licence at vehicle pick-up.
Make sure to bring an official translation of your driving licence if it is not in English. You may request translation documents from your country’s embassy or local traffic authority.
No, you do not need an Australian driver’s licence to rent a car in Australia! Temporary visitors can show their valid overseas driver’s licence and passport to rent vehicles from Redspot.
If you’re loving your time here and stay in Australia for longer than 3 months, that’s when you’ll need to transition to a local driver’s licence. This depends on the state or territory you’re travelling in, so check in with our friendly Perth Airport team for local advice.
Note: Make sure to bring a physical driver’s licence to the kiosk. Digital licences or passports are not accepted as valid documents.
If your licence is not in English, we’ll need a translated version from your embassy or traffic authority in your home country.

No credit card, no problem. We’re one of the rare Aussie rental car companies that don’t require credit card payment to book with us!
Instead, you can pay using a valid debit card and/or purchase order or prepaid voucher. We understand that flexibility is key, so we offer alternative payment options to get you rolling ASAP.
Yes, you will need to pay a bond to rent with Redspot, just the same as you would with any other Aussie car rental company. The exact bond amount will depend on your booking plan and vehicle criteria. With Redspot, this typically ranges between $100-$1000.
Provided there are no additional charges at the end of your rental, this bond will be returned to the same card you paid with. If there are any additional charges (damages, late returns etc.), these may be deducted from the bond before it is refunded.
After your rental car is returned safe and sound, the bond is usually released within 3-5 business days. This may vary depending on your bank or debit/credit card provider.

Yes, you can split-pay your rental with a friend! Please note that there must be a designated hirer, and the primary debit/credit card must be in their name. This will cover any extra charges, like fuel or rental extensions. Aside from that, there is no trouble at all with split payments!
Redspot’s mystery car rental is simple: If you don’t mind what vehicle you travel with, you can book a mystery car for a reduced price.
You’ll still get a reliable, high-quality Redspot vehicle, while also saving a bundle!
If you have filled your rental car with the wrong fuel, don’t panic. Instead, follow these simple steps:
Diesel petrol in an unleaded car can cause serious engine damage, so it’s best to get professional assistance as soon as you can.
Hot tip: Always double-check the fuel type displayed in the fuel tank opening of your car rental! This is located either on the fuel cap OR lid flap. Still unsure? Your hire car fuel type is also listed on the vehicle’s key tag.
For rental car pick-up, your vehicle comes with a full tank of fuel so you can get rolling ASAP! For returns, you have a few refuelling choices on hand. Fuel options include:
Refuel your rental vehicle before returning it. Please fill the vehicle right before returning to avoid extra charges.
No, there are no refunds available for unused fuel left in your hire car. Alternatively, you can choose to only get charged for the fuel you’ve used (note this comes at a higher rate than prepayment). You can also refuel your rental vehicle before returning it to avoid extra refuelling charges.
With Redspot, your rental car bond is usually released within 3-5 business days after the vehicle is returned. Please note, this may vary depending on your bank or debit/credit card provider. If your bond has yet to be returned within the expected timeframe, contact the Redspot branch you hired the vehicle from and we will work with you to investigate the issue ASAP.
If there are any additional charges (damages, late returns etc.), these may be deducted from the bond before it’s refunded. This helps to cover costs such as repair fees and so on.

No, unfortunately, for liability reasons we are not able to install baby seats in your hire car.
Safety is our Number 1 priority at Redspot. We voluntarily comply with Australian state laws and safety policies and therefore cannot install child seats for customers. However, we do offer detailed instructions on how to install a baby seat as safely and securely as possible during vehicle pick-up.
Yes, you can return your vehicle early if your plans change. Keep in mind that there is no refund for early returns or voucher payments – unless you’ve booked through our All-Inclusive rate!

We vacuum and clean all Redspot car interiors including seats, floors, dashboard, steering wheel and internal windows. Car exteriors aren’t forgotten either – we wash and dry them so your rental car sparkles like a million bucks.

Unfortunately, Redspot cars do not come with GPS or sat nav systems. If you need navigational help though, never fear!
Most Redspot cars are equipped with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, which allows hands-free navigation. This helps keep you safe while driving – we don’t recommend using your mobile phone for navigation otherwise.
Bring along a USB or USB-C connector to use the location services available in-car facilities. We do not provide mobile phone connectors, so it’s best to come prepared in case you’d like to make full use of these services.
We sure do! Redspot offers one-way car hires (also known as vehicle relocations) from our Perth Airport T1/T2 branch. Wherever you want to wrap up your stay, we’re happy to accommodate!
When it comes to refilling your Redspot rental car, we’re here to offer fuel options:
For most Aussie car rental companies, the minimum age is 25. However, with Redspot, we don’t think age should keep you from getting out there! Drivers from 21 years old are welcome to rent with us.
Please be advised that there will be a few restrictions for young drivers. Hired cars available will be CDAR, ECAR and IDAR class vehicles. Provisional P2 licence holders can reduce damage cover up to $330, and there will be a small daily surcharge. Check our Young Drivers guide for all the details to get you rolling!
None! At Redspot, we say that age is just a number. That’s why we welcome anyone over 21 years old to rent with us. For those young at heart, jump behind the wheel and get ready to explore all the beauty Australia has to offer.
With Redspot’s Premium Roadside Assistance (PRA) OR Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) changing a punctured tyre will be included in your package at no extra cost! Your rental car also comes with a tool kit to change the tyre yourself if you want to get up and running ASAP.
PRA covers the cost of call-out requests with Royal Automobile Club of Queensland (RACQ) insurance or similar. Alternatively, one of our friendly Redspot staff members will come to assist you. This is also covered by PRA.
If you are stuck in a particularly remote location, Redspot also offers a $150 reimbursement credit. This helps cover any local accommodation and transport you might need during a worst-case scenario.
Note: If your vehicle breaks down due to no fault of your own (engine faults etc.), you are not liable for any call-out fees etc. This applies even if you did not take Premium Roadside Assistance.
