During Melbourne Tourism week, Nigel Clarke our Business Sales Executive and Kim Morrison our Victoria Operations Manager attended the prestigious 8th annual Melbourne Tourism Industry Exchange as part of our major sponsorship of Destination Melbourne.
The Exchange provides the opportunity for all levels of the tourism sector to engage at a grassroots level; to network, exchange information and share knowledge. A great way to get the latest industry updates, connect with tourism businesses and industry representatives, and to network in a relaxed environment. Over 800 guests attended the Exchange.
Nigel and Kim were able to network with the exhibitors throughout the day and visit some excellent stands on display. Below, Nigel and Kim can be seen holding up the Melbourne Cup. This is the actual Melbourne Cup won by Light Fingers. Light Fingers was a New Zealand bred racehorse who won the Melbourne Cup in 1965. The lightly built chestnut was ridden by Roy Higgins and trained by the late great Bart Cummings.
